Information About Obtaining Tuition Assistance
Within our OhioMeansJobs Centers are multiple agencies that may be able to assist in paying tuition, books, and/or fees for post secondary education. Some of these agencies administer Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) monies, Trade Adjustment Assistance and Veterans (ODJFS), Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (formerly RSC), and local county monies. If you are interested in seeking tuition assistance from one or all of the agencies within your local center, please do not hesitate to ask questions.

In order to start the process in seeking tuition assistance:
  1.  Register in OhioMeansJobs.com (www.ohiomeansjobs.com), and complete the Career Profile assessment in your account.
  2.  Complete the FASFA form online by CLICK HERE >
  3. Review this page to view the documentation required for eligibility determination.

Once you have completed these steps, contact you local OhioMeansJobs Center to inquire what other steps you may need to complete in order to seek tuition assistance.

Training Providers
Funding is available only for training provided by approved training organizations. Approved training programs must lead to a certificate, credential or degree for an in-demand occupation. Every funding agency has its own criteria for approved programs and training providers. Contact the agency through which you are seeking tuition funding for its funding policy.
